Development and Coaching


Under the Criminal Records Review Act, all people who work with or may possibly have unsupervised access to vulnerable adults or children are required to undergo a criminal record check by the CRRP (Criminal Records Review Program) This includes all team staff: coaches, managers and Safety Trainers.

ALL bench staff must complete the Respect In Sports for Activity Leaders course found online HERE and CATT found HERE

Recreational Teams Requirements
U6, U7, U8, U9 Hockey Canada Coach 1, RIS, and CATT
U11 (Including U11 Development) Hockey Canada Coach 2 + U11 Module, RIS, and CATT *Head Coach must also have Checking
U13 Hockey Canada Coach 2 + U13 Module, RIS, and CATT *Head Coach must also have Checking
U15 Hockey Canada Coach 2 + U15 Module, RIS, and CATT *Head Coach must also have Checking
U18 Hockey Canada Coach 2 + U18 Module, RIS, and CATT *Head Coach must also have Checking
   
**Competitive Teams  
All head coaches and assistant coaches must have Development 1 and MED in addition to the above
